Where Can I Turn?

If you are here because you would like information and advice about family estrangement, we have a range of online guides to help with different situations, please visit: www.stand-alone.org.uk/guides/

Listen to our charity podcast if you instantly want to hear from others who have experienced family estrangement.

Meeting others in a similar position

If you are here because you’d like to meet others in the same position, we currently run facilitated support groups and workshops online from January-June 2023 and September-December 2023.

You can access more information about the groups and a list of groups and workshops when they are open for registration here: https://www.stand-alone.org.uk/support-groups-in-2023/

Unfortunately, we don’t have plans to organise support groups or workshops in person. We don’t have chapters, local branches, group leaders in local areas, and sadly we can’t signpost to other organisations like us in USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. That’s simply as there aren’t any to our awareness!

Finding individual support

If you are here because you are seeking individual support with your estrangement, we have a list of counsellors, coaches, psychologists psychotherapists who have worked in collaboration with Stand Alone in England, Scotland and online. They offer private one-to-one support, which is not funded by the charity. Please visit: www.stand-alone.org.uk/psychotherapists-counsellors-partnered-stand-alone/
